We've been out and about across Essex, helping employers, educators and learners tap into the power of skills development. Here's a quick look at what we've been up to—and what’s still ahead.

Learning at Work Week at The Launchpad, Southend

As part of Learning at Work Week, we hosted an engaging event at The Launchpad Southend, where we explored the benefits of apprenticeships and upskilling staff. It was a great opportunity to highlight how investing in employee development not only boosts productivity but also supports retention and growth.

Bridging the Gap: Employer Engagement Workshop

We brought together careers leads from secondary schools across Essex for an Employer Engagement Workshop focused on strengthening connections between education and industry. The session explored how to create meaningful employer partnerships, expand access to workplace experiences for students and better prepare young people for future careers. By fostering collaboration, we’re helping schools and employers work together to shape the next generation of talent.

Powering Progress: Intermediate Power, Electronics, Machines & Drives Course

In partnership with Coventry University, we facilitated a 4-day intermediate course in Power, Electronics, Machines and Drives – fully funded by Thames Freeport. This highly technical training supported upskilling for those already working in engineering and technical roles, offering them a chance to grow their expertise without cost barriers.

Apprenticeship Matching—Tailored to You

Behind the scenes, we've also been busy connecting businesses with the perfect apprenticeship providers—whether for large cohorts or one-off placements. We pride ourselves on understanding your unique needs and finding the right training partner to match. This month · has seen us cross £2 million in apprenticeship levy utilisation by SEATS - a major achievement in supporting workforce development across the region.
