On Thursday 15th May Sam will be taking on the challenge of a skydive to raise vital  funds for Mind.

Sam, Relationship Manager at SEATS said " I have always thought about doing a skydive and recently I was approached at work with the opportunity to make this thought a reality. Designed for those already engaged in vehicle electrical systems, aerospace, industrial electronics manufacturing, testing or design, this course is aimed at professionals in roles such as maintenance, testing or repair. It is also suitable for those who have completed the Fundamental level.

The course aims to develop a comprehensive understanding of various aspects related to power electronics and drives, including AC circuit theory, magnetically coupled circuits, machine topologies, power electronics devices and switching optimisation, power converters, and motor control techniques.

The intermediate course has been structured for participants currently at levels 3 - 5 in the UK qualification system, have a broader and more in-depth understanding of the subject, with the ability to apply theoretical concepts to practical situations. Participants may be experienced in an engineering environment but lack knowledge of electrical drives or control.
