Some people raise money with bake sales. Some run marathons.
Sam jumped out of a plane.
Yes, really.
Sam took on the challenge of the highest #SelfieWithSam by free-falling from 10,000 feet in support of Mid and North Essex Mind, the mental health charity.
The result? One slightly windswept colleague, a serious rush of adrenaline and over £1,100 raised — or over £1,400 including Gift Aid — for an incredible cause.
Sam wasn’t alone on this sky-high mission: he was joined by Denise Rossiter, Lisa Collins and Julie Arthur from Essex Chambers of Commerce, who also bravely took the plunge.
As Sam put it:
“I was nervous but proud of myself — and delighted to raise money for such a great cause.”
It was a skydive, not a stroll in the park. There were nerves, parachutes, (possibly some screaming) and unforgettable views — all ending with two feet safely back on solid ground and a huge sense of achievement.
So what’s next? Having conquered the highest #SelfieWithSam, Sam now has his sights set on the fastest one.
Huge congratulations to Sam and his fellow jumpers for taking on the challenge — and a massive thank you to everyone who supported the cause. Your donations are helping to make a real difference.
