Leading Productive Teams

Description

9 March 2027

Half-day, in person at The Hive, London Gateway

A productive team isn’t simply a busy team.

Strong teams understand their priorities, work well together, communicate effectively and know how their individual contribution connects to the bigger picture.

Leading Productive Teams is a practical half-day workshop designed to help managers create the conditions their people need to work effectively, stay focused and deliver together.

The session explores the leader’s role in building team clarity, improving collaboration and removing the everyday barriers that can get in the way of productivity.

What the session will cover

During the workshop, participants will explore how to:

  • understand what makes a team genuinely productive
  • establish clear team priorities and expectations
  • connect individual responsibilities with shared goals
  • create greater clarity around roles and responsibilities
  • improve communication and collaboration
  • identify common barriers to team productivity
  • reduce duplication, confusion and unnecessary activity
  • recognise different strengths within a team and use them effectively
  • keep teams focused when priorities compete or change
  • create practical actions to improve team performance back in the workplace

Who is this session for?

This workshop is ideal for team leaders, supervisors, managers and emerging leaders responsible for bringing people together to deliver shared objectives.

It is particularly useful for managers leading busy operational teams, teams experiencing change or growth, or groups where greater clarity, collaboration and focus could improve performance.

Busy doesn’t always mean productive

When workloads increase, it is easy for teams to become focused on activity rather than outcomes.

Meetings multiply. Priorities compete. Communication becomes fragmented. People work hard – but not always on the things that make the biggest difference.

Effective leaders help their teams cut through that noise.

This session will give managers practical approaches to create clarity, focus and stronger ways of working, helping their teams spend more time on the work that really matters.
